ATV TOUR

We took a couple of "FUN RUNS" on the ATV's. We saw deer, turkeys, and over a hundred elk. (Jax counted them!) We even found snow--in JUNE--in ARIZONA!!!

We Fished the Black River East Fork

The Black River East Fork is rocky, brush filled hiking and tricky fishing. In other words, we didn't catch very many. Alan and Ron were the most skilled fisherman and caught the biggest and the most! Jax caught Grandma with his lure which Richard and Pat jumped all over and sent me a t-shirt saying, "I'm hooked on my grandkids!" (funny and true!)

We enjoyed a couple of hours at the Catwalk. We hiked and then cooled off in the waterfalls and pools.

Sparks Family Camp Out=FUN!

Our Sparks Family camp out was so FUN! Alan made the arrangements and we jumped on it. On board were Alan, Dannen, Jaxon, Cameron, Gunner, Brandon, Darren, Ron, and Marlene. We camped up top and hiked down each day to fish. It's a long, hard hike but we were abundantly rewarded because each us us caught between 75-100 fish each in our 2 day stay...NO LIE! (Sounds fishy, but it's true!) We made many unforgetable memories, and hope to make many more there. The only way it could have been better would be to have Garrett come, but he just had knee surgery and couldn't.

Whada FUN Party!

We had a surprise party for Dustin last night. Dustin came to Safford from Dallas for his birthday and for Mother's Day. Many of our family members gathered for a party. We had mucho spanish food, a cool "personal image" birthday cake that Peggy ordered, home-made ice cream, a fun yet competitive game of badminton, and topped it off with a wild rhino ride under a full moon. We love having Dustin visit 'cause he's "Captain FUN" and everyone loves him.

IT'S UNCANNY!

I have had this insatiable urge to can everything I can get my hands on! The only problem was that I canned so much that my shelves were beginning to bow and crack. I was afraid it was all going to come crashing down. So Ron took out all the shelves and bought heavy duty metal shelves like at our warehouse. He says they are a little "over-kill", but that's ok. Now I can continue to can to my hearts content.

We enjoyed a FUN FAMILY HOME Evening Activity.

We had a FUN time with Alan's family last night. We drove our ATV's up to Frye Mesa where we fished for trout. We caught some good sized fish, then when it got dark we built a fire and enjoyed foil dinners and a gooey rich dessert--yum! Tonight we grilled the fish and had a neighborhood dinner. Fish--delish!

A visit from the Easter Bunny

EASTER WEEK-END FAMILY FUN!

We had a visit from the cutest Easter bunny! We also celebrated 2 birthdays--Chase and Garrett's. We had lots of fun together! Darren, Ashley, Mason, Chase and Grandma entered a fishing contest at the fairgrounds. Guess what? Mason caught the first fish of the derby! Yipee! We ate lunch at Casa Manana with Ashley's family....yum-oh! Following lunch, we had a party for Chase's 1st birthday. They came down from Cottonwood and the Norton's came from Duncan and all met here in Thatcher so we could have a party. Then the guys (Darren, Alan, Garrett, and Ron) braved the wind and rain and rode the Rhino and Artic Cat up to Frye Mesa to fish. They caught about 20 trout and had fun! When they got home, the girls had a nice steak dinner awaiting them to celebrate Garrett's 26th birthday! We ate 'til we were about to explode but loved every bite and loved the fun and laughs we had together.
